Create a campaign to persuade busy Christmas shoppers to buy their favourite movie-lovers a Cineworld gift card.
Strategy
Christmas shopping can be super stressful.
But it doesn’t have to be that way, you can forget the hustle and bustle of shopping by hiding in the cinema.
Idea
You don’t need Hollywood-sized budgets to remind cinema-lovers how the big screen can help you escape for an hour or two.
Wouldn’t it be great to give that escapism as a gift?
And wouldn’t it be relaxing to sort your Christmas shopping before the titles roll?
Three 30 sec spots showed there is another, more chilled way to do your shopping. They each featured hypnotic visuals with a glowing Cineworld star accompanied by the rhythmic, warm tones Malcom McDowell’s voiceover.
And if 30 seconds didn’t get you all warm and chrismassy, we created a 90-minute feature full of Christmas stream-of-consciousness and umpteen Easter eggs referencing Christmas movies, for those in the silver screen know.
